"Your
Day, Your Way"
When
you trust Baty & Company to capture the photographs and video for your
Wedding Day you get who you pay for! Steve Baty will be your photographer,
with more than 20 years of wedding experience, I am the person to depend
on to ensure that your wedding day runs smoothly. We start up to two hours
before the ceremony, creating wonderful portraits of the bride, her family
and attendants. One of our highly trained professional videographers accompanies
me capturing all of the color, sound and excitement that only video can
bring to life.
We cover the ceremony discreetly and professionally.
I shoot the still photographs of the processional, all the aspects of the
ceremony and recessional. Our video team, that consists of two video cameras
with two operators, covers your ceremony from the front and the rear. The
primary camera is a Cannon XL1. This digital video format camera uses three
pickup chips to obtain crisp colors and sound even in difficult lighting
situations. If you wish we can attach a wireless microphone to the grooms
lapel to capture the vows. The tapes are later professionally edited by
me, using a digital video mixer that provides dissolves, wipes and picture
in picture effects. The results are spectacular. I always check with the
clergy about special circumstances, traditions or rules that may be unique
to each location. We are discreet and professional at all times, but especially
during the ceremony we are acutely aware that we are to capture, not create
the excitement.
I like to shoot the formal photographs immediately
after the ceremony or after the receiving line if it is held at the church.
As a former theatrical director I have been trained to create the living
tableaus that will become your families treasured memories. I keep the
photo session moving rapidly, yet with attention to detail. I am able to
do this because long before the wedding day I have discussed a shot selection
list with the bride and groom, so we all know exactly what will be done. Then
I make the magic.
The
formal pictures never take more that 30 minutes, even with the largest
of
wedding parties or the most complicated sets
of multiple mother, step, father, adopted, extended, nontraditional family
situations that you may enjoy
For the reception we follow a photo journalistic
style that is as unobtrusive as possible, yet delivers exciting video and
candid still photos.
